Guy Stands His Ground Against a Charging Elephant, Keeps Taking Pictures

Here’s a crazy 50-second video showing an encounter one tourist photographer had with a wild elephant in Thailand. After finding and observing a large elephant among the trees and bushes, the man suddenly found himself at the receiving end of an elephant charge.

The guy didn’t have much time to react, so he just stood his ground held up his hand and his camera. Luckily for him, it was a mock charge rather than a real one, so after making a quick trumpeting sound at the man, the elephant turned around and disappeared into the forest. The guy emerged unscathed and returned home with some photos of the merciful elephant that decided not to trample him.
