102-Year-Old Dancer Looks At Old Imagery of Herself for the First Time

Check out the wonderful power cameras have in helping us relive old memories. The video above shows what happened when a 102-year-old woman named Alice Barker was shown old footage and photos of herself when she was a chorus line dancer during the Harlem Renaissance of the 1930s and 1940s. She danced at clubs such as The Apollo and Cotton Club for legends that included Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, and Bill Robinson.

“Although she danced in numerous movies, commercials and TV shows, she had never seen any of them, and all of her photographs and memorabilia have been lost over the years,” the description says. She had never seen footage of herself dancing prior to what we see in this video.
