Camera+ For iPhone is Free Through November 16th; Here’s How to Get It

camplus

Camera+ is one of the most well-liked third party camera apps for iOS devices. It has sold over 10 million copies, and its robust interface and suite of editing tools help set it apart from the stock camera app.

Normally Camera+ would set you back $3 in the app store, but right now there’s a lesser-known promotional offering from Apple that lets you download a copy for free. You just need to know where to look.

If you head into the iOS App Store and take a look at Camera+, you’ll notice it’s still at its usual $3 price. That’s because the app isn’t available free directly in the app store. Instead, there are a few simple steps you’ll need to take to get your free copy.

First, download the Apple Store App from the iOS App Store, here. This is Apple’s new app for buying products and accessories.

After it’s downloaded, launch the app and select the Stores tab on the bottom navigation

a

Scroll down just a short bit and you will come across the promotional offer. Tap on the Camera+ icon that presents the offer.

b

You will then be given a synopsis of the app with a Download now for free button on the bottom; tap that button.

c

You will then see a pop-up asking you to go to the iOS App Store; press continue.

d

Once you’re in the iOS App Store, press redeem in the top-right-hand corner and your download should begin.

We’ve tested this workflow and it worked flawlessly on our iPhone running iOS 8. This offer will be going on through November 16th, 2014, according to Apple. Be sure to share this with your friends who are looking to get more out of their iOS device’s camera.
