The lens adds a focal length option that isn't available in Fujifilm's first-party lineup and what Viltrox has made here works well, especially for the price.

My conclusion is simple: it's an excellent optic and my favorite Viltrox lens to date, and in my book it's one of the most highly recommended lenses on the Fuji X system today.

This time with this new Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 lens, I can easily tell you this is the best Viltrox lens that they have released so far, and maybe that's why the price of this lens is quite a bit more than the previous Viltrox APS-C lenses.

The Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 did not disappoint. It looks, feels, and handles like a much more expensive lens, and there was no major sacrifice I could find in performance or quality while using this third-party lens.

Honestly, I'm very very surprised at how much I enjoyed working with such a wide-angle prime. And I'm also very very surprised at the results that have come from it.

[I]'ve been really impressed with this lens. Its optical performance is really nice, both for Astro and for shooting regular landscapes.

While I will honestly admit that I might not have purchased this lens because of my first-party lens kind of like snobbery, I'm glad I was given the opportunity to review it as it really is a complete joy to use.

To be quite honest with you, I think this is probably one of the best lenses Viltrox has made to date. It's certainly not perfect, but for the price it's an exceptionally well built lens that offers nice crisp images even when shooting wide open.

Because of the 13mm focal length and the impressive set of specs and traits it comes with, Vitrox has made the 13mm f/1.4 lens hard to ignore at this price point.

So ultimately, I think you're getting an ultimate bang for your buck with this lens. There is the flaw of that flaring, but I think there are plenty of ways to get around it.

So much about the image quality from this lens, I'm totally happy with it and I think that most people will be as well, especially because it really gives you this full frame look with a pretty light lens on the Fujifilm system.

Everything about it, the design, the build, the optics, the autofocus truly is well done, and there really aren't any glaring shortcomings.

[I]f you're considering a wide angle lens for your Fuji camera, I think this should most certainly be on your short list of contenders and I'm pretty confident you're going to be happy with the Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 if you decide to pick it up.

Now I'm shooting this piece with the Viltrox 33 mil on the XT4 that I've been using this 13 mil with, and I think Viltrox have done a nice job with this lens.

[I]f you are looking for a wide-angle lens, I would highly recommend that you take a look at the Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 for either your full-frame Sony specifically or your APS-C systems.

There's a lot you can do with an ultrawide lens, especially an f/1.4 prime, so I wouldn't be surprised if more people start to take notice on this lens and have it in their kit.
