It is not a novelty lens, it is not a toy; this is a lens that is good enough for professional work and with this focal length and wide aperture, a very versatile wide angle perfect for landscape, architecture, and pretty much everything when you need the wide field of view.
The best full-frame hybrid camera on the market right now, one that offers the most, and even though there's crop when filming at 4K 60p, it has got a lot of features that outshine pretty much everything in this price range and even a much more expensive cameras than this.
[I]t is a lens that in my opinion is very versatile and can deliver truly outstanding results and one that is totally a joy to shoot with.
[T]his Sigma is everything that you could expect from a high-end high quality 50 millimeter prime.
It is a lens that truly lives up to Sigma's reputation, and if you do need a wide focal range like this, this is the only one like it available that specifically is made for mirrorless cameras right now.
I love this focal range, it is a range that just keeps giving, and Tamron really nailed it with this lens.
[I]f you are a seasoned pro or just a beginner, this lens ticks a lot of boxes.
It is almost, almost a must have for any Sony shooter and a 70-200mm lens, perfect choice 70-200mm lens if you can't or don't want to stretch your budget to G Master version.
The quality it delivers is just outstanding and it is a lens very easy to shoot with, perfect for video either for handheld shooting, vlogging, or for enhancing that sense of motion when shooting from the gimbal [...] versatile lens that is pretty much perfect [...]
It delivers superb color and contrast, too, making it one of the best, if not the best lens that I have ever used. Certainly the best 50 for sure.
For me, this is the winner; I am a fan and I'm highly recommending it.
[I]t's hard to say that this is the best ultra zoom for Sony mount out there as the price is so similar to the Sigma and only marginally lower than the Sony 200-600mm, but I prefer this much more than the others because it is smaller and lighter.
If you are a pro landscape or astrophotographer, then this is no brainer. A perfect and number one choice, the best 14 that you can buy.
[...] I love this lens and I literally shot with nothing else in last two weeks. It's one of those lenses that just feels right and you can make it work in pretty much any situation.
If you need good all-round wide aperture reliable and very sharp 50 millimeter lens then this is a perfect option, really perfect choice in my opinion. Quality delivers justifies the cost.
No, honestly, this is a very versatile lens which I love. It's great for your everyday photography as a 90 millimeter prime and excellent, absolutely excellent, at going really close and getting those super close macro shots.
This lens, like no other lens I've actually tried, especially prime lens, I never had this much fun actually using the lens and creating pictures or just having it on the camera. I definitely will be having this lens in my kit and this is it from me.
For a portrait, you just cannot fault.
