- PetaPixel 9/10
We have an optically perfect lens with a lighter-weight design than we've ever seen before from Nikon, all wrapped up with the added versatility of a teleconverter.
-
[I]t's very doable, so overall I think we've got a fantastic lens here for wildlife…
-
Nikon has another winner in its line-up of long telephoto optics. Their Z 600mm f4 TC VR S is an excellent lens with one extremely compelling feature over rival systems: It has a built-in 1.4x teleconverter which changes it into an 840mm f5.6 lens at the flick of a switch.
-
While most photographers will not need such an expensive and specialized lens, the possibilities it offers are unmatched for those who require it.
-
The versatility of the built-in TC just can't be underestimated. Although I only use the lens for a very short time, it was instantly apparent that it has really changed the game in this focal range.
-
There is no doubt this is a great lens to use and most of the time it ended up being used handheld.
-
Not that Nikon is going to be able to supply it very much because I guarantee you as soon as they announce it they're gonna be like [...]
-
The Nikon Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S follows in the highly capable and very expensive footsteps of the Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S.
-
It's hands down the best 600mm prime lens I've used to date because of the built-in 1.4 extender; it works great in the field and offers us flexibility we just cannot find in other prime lenses except for maybe Nikon's 400mm f/2.8 lens with the built-in 1.4 extender.
-
The new Nicor Z 600 F4TC VRS is an epic lens. It's sharp, it's fast, it's light, it's small relatively considering it is two lenses in one.
-
This a great lens at a horrible price and if you need a fast super-tele for what you do, you can’t really go wrong with this lens. Don’t be fooled by the comments about how light and small it is.
-
This lightweight and great image stabilizer makes it just an awesome combination for doing wildlife shots. The competition might offer something similar, but what it sets it really apart is this easily activatable and deactivatable teleconverter that is integrated.
-
This is a fantastic lens, there's nothing for me to complain about except it's big, that's it.
