This lens has some ups and downs, but it does provide an ultra-compact and much needed wide angle range to the RF system.

[T]he Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM isn't just adorable for its tiny size; it's also extremely capable - within its scope.
-
It’s far from a flawless lens, but it is a surprisingly complete one for a pancake lens. This is a lens that doesn’t take up much more room than a front cap for your camera, and yet can produce any number of stunning images.
-
This is certainly one of the best pancakes Canon have ever cooked up, and its focal length is going to be really useful to you whether you're shooting on full-frame or APS-C, and I really was especially impressed by its performance on my APS-C camera.
-
This Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM, I can throw into my bag, it doesn't weigh me down, and I'm very happy with the image quality I'm getting out of it.

[I]f you can buy into the amount of digital correction that Canon is automatically applying in-camera, then we can highly recommend the RF 28mm F2.8 STM as a classic prime for your wide-angle needs.
-
The Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM is flat as a pancake and delivers delicious image quality.

Get this lens if you want an excellent, tiny and inexpensive wide lens. Get it if you want to make your camera seem tiny.

Despite that little quirk, this lens is amazing, and I'm going to be bringing it with me on so many more adventures in the future.
-
If you're after a small, lightweight lens for travel photography that you can just chuck in your pocket and get great images, then this lens here is by far the best on the market.
-
If you can gel with the 28 millimeter focal length, then this lens is a no-brainer for travel and general purpose photography, especially if you own one of the smaller camera bodies like the RP or the R8.
-
My thoughts are is that it's an incredible lens for the money, and in the Canon RF mount I would like to see more pancake lenses in general, but it's not perfect, so we're going to talk about the pros and the cons of this lens.
