This Mouse Has a Built-In Touchscreen and Customizable App Controls

Arctic Fox Technologies has announced Super Mouse, a productivity-focused, screen-equipped mouse with built-in, customizable app shortcuts.

As Arctic Fox explains, the computer mouse has employed a relatively consistent form and function for many decades. Peripherals have gotten better and more precise, of course, but the core functionality has remained static. The company hopes to change that with Super Mouse.

Super Mouse is part mouse and part software hub. It integrates software shortcuts, macros, application controls, and other common computer actions directly into the hardware while still serving as a traditional mouse.

“The way people work has completely changed, but the mouse has stayed almost the same for decades,” says Arctic Fox Technologies’ founder and CEO, Sridhar Thirunakara. “We wanted to create a device that keeps the simplicity and comfort people already know while giving them direct access to the tools they use every day.”

The Super Mouse has a built-in 3.1-inch 720 x 720-pixel touchscreen that lets users access a control panel, digital keyboard, and on-screen sliders, such as for photo editing. It includes things like a quick-glance Google Calendar and app shortcuts.

It also includes two customizable physical keys, called Hyper Keys, near the scroll wheel. The mouse also includes a built-in microphone for voice-to-text AI functionality and a gyro for additional control options.

The Super Mouse works alongside a dedicated app, Flow, where users can configure their shortcuts, app integrations, display layouts, and more. There’s no limit to how many apps can have configured shortcuts.

Super Mouse is a wired mouse that connects via USB-C. It works on both macOS and Windows.

The new device is launching first on Kickstarter, with early-bird pricing starting at $199, a 50% discount compared to the expected MSRP. The Super Mouse comes in yellow, white, and dark gray. Arctic Fox says the first units will ship to backers in February 2027 and notes it has been testing prototypes for over a year. However, as always, Kickstarter backers incur risk.
