SmallRig promises that the new collaborative equipment for creators lives up to the famous phrase from Transformers: “More than meets the eye.” In living up to that famous maxim, the new gear also embodies SmallRig’s mission to “Break the boundaries of imaging and empower freer creativity.”

The new Transformers x SmallRig Limited Collection features a diverse range of co-branded products that integrate Transformers’ iconic “mecha DNA” aesthetic and bold, bright colors, including a heavy use of black and yellow.

A few highlights from the new collection include a Transformers-themed heavy-duty tripod, eye-catching VB99 Pro mini V Mount battery styled after BumbleBee, black and yellow camera cages for leading mirrorless camera models, and a BumbleBee edition Vibe P108 Pro mini LED video light.

“Like Transformers evolving beyond form, SmallRig reimagines tools as inspiration extensions — modular, integrated, intelligent, lightweight,” SmallRig explains. “Our products live by: ‘No limits to tools, no bounds to creativity.'”

While Transformers fans consider the Autobots heroes, SmallRig says it is the creators who are “the true heroes.”

The entire SmallRig x Transformers collaborative collection is available to pre-book today, August 13, through August 28. When users pre-book, they are automatically entered to win a TF Tool Kit Gift Box, which is redeemable with the purchase of a collaborative product by September 28. Other prizes are up for grabs, including SmallRig rewards points, a Transformers gift box, SmallRig merchandise, and more.

The SmallRig x Transformers collection begins shipping on August 28, and pre-booking guarantees customers 15% off their selected Transformers collab products in addition to being entered in the raffle.

A voting interface for a Transformers design contest features three character options—Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and Megatron—and eight favorite product categories to select from, with bright yellow “Vote” buttons and submission options.

Transformers fans can also vote for their favorite design as part of a special SmallRig x Transformers promotion. Each day, users can vote for their favorite character and gear, and the top picks “may become real products.” So far, a Bumblebee-themed camera cage is the top pick, although you should never count Optimus Prime out.
