NFL Player Savagely Takes Out Photographer, Fails to Check If He’s Ok

San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel has apologized after brutally wiping out a photographer and simply stepping over him without checking to see if he was ok.

The incident took place on Sunday as Samuel was running into the endzone for the first touchdown of the 49ers’ game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Samuel was pushed out of bounds at the goal line by an opponent causing him to stumble into a gaggle of photographers shooting from the sidelines. He fell headfirst into a photographer’s groin area sending the photographer, who was holding two cameras, to the ground.

After the fact, Samuel just stepped over the photographer like he was stepping over dog poop on the sidewalk. He failed to check on the photographer and instead celebrated with his teammates.

“My apologies for stepping over the camera guy. Definitely didn’t realize I did it until watching the tape. Was just in the moment. My apologies my guy,” Samuel writes on Twitter.

Deebo’s team went on to crush the Buccaneers, with the 49ers seeing out a comfortable 35 – 7 victory. However, the game did not end well for the wide receiver who was brought to tears after sustaining an injury.

Samuel’s antics reminded sports fans of Allen Iverson who stepped over Tyronn Lue during Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals.

Photographers in the Line of Fire

Earlier in the NFL season, Las Vegas Raiders player Davante Adams angrily shoved a cameraman to the ground while exiting the field of play.

Despite apologizing to the photographer, Adams has been charged in the Municipal Court of Kansas City with misdemeanor assault.

The photographer claims to have suffered “whiplash and headache” from the incident and possibly suffered a concussion. The case is pending.
