The photographer who was pushed over by Las Vegas Raider player Dante Adams has filed a report with the police.

TMZ first reported the cameraman’s claims that he injured himself in the incident and had to go to the hospital after the game on Monday.

It is alleged that the man told police that was the victim of an assault, but his injuries are “thought to be non-life threatening.”

Kansas City Police Department is investigating and expects it to take more than one to two days, reports the Kansas City Star.

According to a police account of the incident, the victim of the alleged assault was a photographer at the football game at Arrowhead Stadium, and “he was pushed to the ground causing injury” after the game. The photographer made his own arrangements to be taken to a hospital for treatment at which time he called the police.

ESPN confirmed that the cameraman in question was a freelancer working for Monday Night Football.

Alternative Angle

The news comes as an alternative angle emerged of the incident that some commentators have said paints a different picture, seen below.

Sports publication Marca writes that the “man was completely unaware of his surroundings and moving at quick speed,” apportioning blame to the accredited media member.

Adams admitted that he was frustrated at the way the game ended, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs by a solitary point.

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran in front of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. That’s not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this,” Adams wrote on Twitter afterward.

Things on the football field had been going well for Adams after he scored the opening touchdown of the game early in the first quarter and caught his second touchdown as the Raiders were down 30-23.

As the Raiders chased the lead at the end of the game Adams and fellow receiver Hunter Renfrow ran into each other, tumbling to the ground and unable to catch the pass from quarterback Derek Carr. The Raiders fell just short, finishing the game one point behind the Chiefs and Adams was visibly upset at the end. He smashed his helmet into the floor before shoving the photographer.

Update: Adams has been charged in the Municipal Court of Kansas City with misdemeanor assault, per Adam Schefter.
