Photographer Mathieu Stern has been doing shootout comparisons showing how the same models look when captured through different vintage lenses. For this 5.5-minute video, Stern used the Konika Hexanon 28mm f/3.5, the Minolta 100mm f/2.5, and the Industar 50mm f/3.5.
These lenses are all relatively cheap through places like eBay. Here’s how they perform:
Industar 50mm f/3.5
An old Russian lens which appears to be available on eBay for around $30.
Konika Hexanon 28mm f/3.5
A quick look shows that the Konika sells for around $40 on eBay.
Minolta 100mm f/2.5
The Minolta, a much rarer lens, can fetch around $150 second-hand.
