Test Footage Left in Drone Camera Gives Peek Inside DJI’s Factory

Want to see the inside of a DJI drone manufacturing facility? Now you can, thanks to some test footage that was recently found on a new DJI drone camera. Data is normally wiped before cameras are shipped, but it seems that someone forgot to delete this one.

The 43-second video above was first published by Motherboard, and shows workers putting together various components at an Inspire 1 drone assembly line.

The footage was found by Erik Reed of Skyz Media, a Michigan-based aerial photography business, when he received the new DJI X5 drone camera. DJI has confirmed to Motherboard that the video does show one of the company’s “multiple camera testing facilities.”
