This ‘Tales by Light’ Trailer is 2 Minutes of Pure Photo Passion

Want an incredible dose of photographic inspiration? Check out this newly-released 2-minute trailer for the new TV series Tales by Light, a new TV series that follows 5 top photographers as they take their cameras to the ends of the Earth — photographers who have an unquenchable desire to capture and share the wonders of this world with the rest of us.

Sydney-based cinematographer Abraham Joffe tells PetaPixel that all the footage was shot by a “skeleton crew” of him and two others: a sound engineer and a camera drone pilot. The three of them followed photographers around the world for a year, traveling to 15 countries across six continents and capturing the photographers’ processes of capturing amazing photographs.

“I hope this series inspires someone to say ‘dad, I want to go out and buy a camera’,” Joffe tells The Daily Telegraph.

Tales by Light premiered on the National Geographic Channel in Australia last night and will run every Sunday until June 28, 2015.
