Shooting the Streets of SF with Photographer Travis Jensen

Here’s a 4.5-minute profile of street photographer Travis Jensen, a man who documents life on the sidewalks of San Francisco. It’s a look at how Jensen approaches his photography and people on the streets. (Warning: there’s some strong language.)

The video was created by Brian Chu over at SF creative studio WEREHAUS.

Jensen says he was an at-risk youth who became immersed in the city’s skateboard scene when he arrived after high school. Having grown up in the city, he feels a special connection to the streets and says he “has a special understanding of his home and its inhabitants that is uniquely reflected” in his street photography.

His goal is to capture true “street life and personalities that few tourists get to see” when they visit San Francisco.
