Sometimes it’s the small details of our photographic endeavors that bring meaning to our work, which is why we love this fun, creative mini-portfolio tutorial from the crafty minds at Photojojo

In a world of Flickr, Instagram and easy-to-make portfolio sites, it’s not often we have a physical portfolio to show off when we meet other photographers, or even potential clients.

There’s no denying that seeing a physical print of your work is much more exciting and rewarding than seeing it on even the greatest of displays. But it’s not exactly convenient to lug around a giant album everywhere you go. Thus, a smaller, more portable option would be appreciated by many.

This in mind, the creative minds over at Photojojo have made a little tutorial on how to create a little DIY Pocket Portfolio.

In the words of Photojojo themselves, “sometimes it’s nice to whisper instead of shout.” Having a little piece of your work, be it the best of your DSLR shots or a collection of your Instagram work, is always awesome to show off.

If you’re feeling extremely adventurous, you could even create a couple dozen and use them as creative and informative business cards to hand out while out and about. People are probably less likely to toss out a business card when it’s a little booklet filled with your best work.

The tutorial over on Photojojo gives you a step-by-step guide to creating the pocket portfolio, so head on over there and take a look to see if it’s something you’re interested in. And if you do decide to make one for yourself, drop a picture in the comments. We’d love to see how yours turns out.
