The Boston Marathon Bombing: A Moving Slideshow by Dana Rouleau

Tragedies happen. We weep. We grieve. And then, life moves on. I suppose it’s good that it stands still for no one or no event. But it’s always good to remember — not to dwell, but to honor.

Photographer Dana Rouleau was in the crowd during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. He and a friend were eating lunch in a restaurant located by the bombing site. Had they left one minute earlier, it’s very possible they would have been right next to the bombs when they went off. He compiled his images into a powerful video that recalls the best and worst of the day.

You can see more of his images and read his full account of that day on his website.
