Bill Claff of Photons to Photos found the Nikon D5 to have industry-leading low-light performance. He reported his findings over in the DPReview forums.

“The Nikon D5 is certainly not a ‘one size fits all’ solution but from what we can see it does look to be a great solution for low light applications like sports photography and candid photo-jornalism as opposed to landscape photography,” Claff tells PetaPixel. “For now it looks like the Nikon D5 will be the best low light camera (except perhaps for some medium format ones).”
