Chen Man is the ‘Annie Leibovitz’ of Chinese Fashion Photography

CNN Style published this short feature on 35-year-old photographer Chen Man of Beijing, China, an artist who’s considered to be the “Annie Leibovitz” of the Chinese fashion photography world.

As one of China’s top fashion photographers, Chen has shot photos for global brands and covers for international fashion magazines.

“I am different from others because I look at things from a Chinese perspective,” Chen tells CNN Style. “Of course, I can shoot like Western photographers, but Chinese should capture Chinese and document the difference between China and the West.”

Chen also creates fine art photography, and her work has been exhibited in international galleries.
