Nikon Unveils the P∞, the First Compact Camera with a 1458x Zoom Lens
Nikon has unveiled the new Coolpix P∞ superzoom, the world’s first compact camera with a 1458x zoom lens. While most of the design, specs, and features are identical to the camera’s predecessor, the Coolpix P900, the P∞ has a new 24-34992mm (35mm equiv.) lens that opens up new worlds of possibilities.
The camera’s dimension ranges from 5.4 inches in depth when shooting wide angle to 18.7 inches when zoomed all the way in to the extent of its telephoto range.
Here are a couple of sample photographs showing the powerful zoom on this camera. Here’s a photo captured at the wide end of the zoom range:

Other specs include a 16MP CMOS sensor, a swiveling LCD screen, an electronic viewfinder, HD video recording, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and an ISO range of 100-3115.
The Nikon Coolpix P∞ will be available starting in April 1st, 2016, with a price tag of $3,115. Preorders can be placed over on the Nikon website.
