If you’re looking to capture the perfect Fall colors this season, we’ve found a fantastic resource for you. It’s called the 2014 Fall Foliage Map, and it’s an interactive and predictive fall foliage map that will help you find the perfect Fall foliage location no matter when you decide to go on your trip.

Created by the folks at SmokeyMountain.com, their in-house scientists supposedly “analyzed hundreds of factors” to properly predict what the foliage will look like across the US of A from early September through the end of November.

All of that data was then plotted onto an interactive map that changes based on the date you select using the slider at the bottom:

foliage1

foliage2

It probably won’t be perfect, but if you’re looking to capture some great foliage this Autumn, it’ll help make sure you don’t plan a trip to somewhere where the leaves are already too far gone, or not colorful enough.

Head over to the Smokey Mountains website to try it out for yourself.
