Deal Alert: Pick Up Two 8GB SDHC Cards for Free with Free Shipping

freememcard

Here’s something you don’t get very often: something for nothing. TigerDirect is currently selling Centon 8GB SDHC Class 4 memory cards for, get this, zero dollars. All you have to do is fill out the mail-in rebate.

We discovered the deal through Slickdeals, and it certainly looks to be legitimate. Limited to two rebates per ‘person, billing address, company, or household,’ you’ll be able to pick up an extra 16GB of memory card storage for $20 and then get that $20 right back as long as you send in the rebate within 60 days.

The deal (which includes free shipping according to Slickdeals) goes away tonight at midnight Eastern, so click here to take advantage before it goes away.

Anyone know Centon? Are these worth the effort? I mean free is nice, but crap for free + effort is not worth the effort!

According to Tiger Direct’s Wiki page, there seems to have been issues with rebates in the past. I don’t know if this has cleared up, but though I’d mention it.

They are class 4, so they’re unsuitable for HD video. For stills, sure, but they won’t be as fast as the major players.

The type of person I am is the reason companies do mail in rebates.. I end up either totally forgetting or deciding that it’s really not worth getting a couple bucks back.

Being branded by whoever, class4 and the way the rebate works… Not for me

You have to call a number and “try” something called “Great Fun” to get the rebate. Feels a little scammy. Declined to do that.

only works in USA as well I guess…. -.-

I did the Big Fun service when I bought Toronto Raptors Tickets… basically paid my tickets back for trying one month of service.

It was worth it, and customer care let me cancel.. but the risk was worth 100 dollars. Can’t say 20 is worth the hassle.

I tried ordering. After ordering a “2” showed up in the little shopping cart icon in upper left corner, but when I went to check out, the Website said there was nothing in my shopping cart. Could not get anyone on phone to help and the online texting feature for customer service left me waiting for too long. I give up; not worth my time for what the offer is.

    Thanks, Marcelo!

The cards are worth $5, cost them $2..they get to hold your money for 60 days. I guess it’s worth it to kype your email and other contact info.
