First Lady Michelle Obama is turning to Instragram in order to organize a meet-up/photo walk and give the world a tour of the White House gardens this weekend.

The White House Fall Garden Instagram Meetup” will give visitors a chance to snap photos of the Rose Garden, South Lawn, Jacqueline Kennedy Garden and the White House Kitchen Garden this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Washington time.

If you can’t make it to Washington, you’ll be able to follow @WhiteHouse and @MichelleObama on Instagram for updates throughout the photo walk.

If, on the other hand, you do happen to be in the area and you want to take advantage of this rare photo walk opportunity, we would suggest you get there well before the 9 a.m. start time. Free admission tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 7:30 a.m. both days, and we have a feeling people will be lining up ahead of time.

The garden tour is the latest in a series of ongoing efforts by the Obama administration to tap into social media. Chief White House photographer Pete Souza opened an Instagram account in July, posting behind-the-scenes shots of presidential life. And an image of the President and Michelle Obama hugging quickly became the most-liked photo of all time on Facebook.
