First Wedding Ever to be Shot Entirely with the iPhone 4

Wedding photographer Brian Adams and wedding videographer Rainer Flor claim to be the first to capture a wedding entirely using the iPhone 4. Flor volunteered his own wedding last November for the experiment, and a total of three iPhone 4s were used: two for the photos and one for the video.

“We proved that the iPhone technology is advanced enough to handle an event like a wedding, and simple enough that it doesn’t take a lot of experience or extra equipment to shoot high-quality video and pictures,” said Adams. “The user still has to have some creativity and a good eye, but this gives them a great tool.”

Would you rather have a great photographer shoot your wedding with an iPhone 4, or a mediocre photographer shoot using professional gear?

Think I’ll shoot my next family portrait with a pinhole camera!  (Think the kids can hold still long enough?)  This just goes to show that there are a lot of photographers out there that bill themselves as professionals and who are not!

sorry, this is a gimmick at best and crap at worst.  What if you need night shots? what if you want to blow up the pictures?

A surgeon can use a pocketknife to do surgery too but I’d rather he use his skills AND the right tools.  speaking of tools, these fanboys are huge ones.

I’m just saying, the description says three iPhone 4′s were used to make this wedding & those well spotted “professional photographers” actually look like they are holding an iPhone 4 :-)  It didn’t say anything about just one photographer, it could be a few taking photos & composing them at the end.

I was thinking the same thing! I have an iPhone4, and I’m not always impressed with the picture quality, and I am a pro photographer and videographer. But hey, if that’s what floats their boats…

  • Shaun’s_photomojo

I agree with that too! I always tell new photographers that if you’re a damn good photographer using a point-and-shoot, you’re a damn good photographer with an SLR. So I always tell them to get a point-and-shoot first, and carry that with them wherever they go starting out.

But I like love his shots! The angles were great, and he slayed from that aspect. I know some “photographers” who couldn’t shoot their way out of a paper bag, and have the nerve to charge people using pro gear, UGH! But my concern is the picture quality. I’m a picture quality “whore” and I’m not always that impressed with my iPhone4′s picture quality. But if it came out nice, I guess that’s all that matters. *Kanye West shrug*

I thought so too. Until I saw the lenses you can put on your iPhone. http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/iphone-telephoto-lens/

I hope they used pro gear as a back up!

The iPhone. Making bad photographers worse, one poorly-shot wedding at a time.

PS: This is obviously nothing more than a lame publicity stunt to get more traffic to your blog.

Good luck using your eye with a disposable camera inside a church during a mid December wedding….. You can have the best eye for a photo in the world, but you also need the gear that’s capable of capturing it

You’re impressed with the picture quality of an iPhone? Wait until you get a proper mobile phone….

lol, they are no where NEAR to being great wedding shots… I mean look, they haven’t even used instagram once! …… o_O

I’d love to see someone shoot a wedding with a disposable film camera…I mean it’s no different than using an Iphone.

$20 says this was in reality just a couple of Uncle Bobs with their Iphones shooting their friend’s wedding who had already hired professionals. I get these guys all the time. Even some with Iphones who follow me around at weddings trying to take the same shots and usually failing miserably. Notice there is only one reception shot. An Iphone would never hold up in dark situations.
