The folks over at Popular Science have published a fun look inside White House photographer Pete Souza's gear bag, but it seems the iconic photographer of president Obama's most candid moments left a lens or two out when he spoke to the magazine.
Warning: This will be a longer and more in-depth post. But in the age of paid-for reviews, I felt frustrated by the lack of perspective on the "what camera should I buy" and "why mirrorless, really?" discussions that I see online.
So I wanted to give an authentic point of view about why I switched from a professional Canon bag to a mirrorless system. I hope that it helps others think through their choice when they decide to adopt one system or another.
“What’s in my bag” posts oftentimes come across as a bit pretentious. Between pulling out this body or that piece of glass, it’s easy for the post/video to become a game of “look what I have that you probably don't have because it costs $XX,XXX.”
