Popular photography backpack company Shimoda has announced its latest generation of adventure bags in the Action X V2 series.

FoCal today announced Version 2 of its automated camera calibration software that helps photographers calibrate the microfocus adjustment on their cameras. The new update will allow users of the software compare their autofocus test results with other users and see previous tests you've run to better see how your gear is performing.

One of the more impressive services in the world of browser-based photo editing is Polarr, a web app that launched to the public back in September 2014. In just a handful of months, the 3-person startup has developed a service used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

The team tells us that they've just released Version 2.0 of the service in Alpha testing stage. It's an update that delivers a handful of most-requested features submitted by the community.

When the first Capture Camera Clip went to Kickstarter in 2011, it absolutely blew away its funding goal. Creator Peter Dering needed $10,000; he wound up raising almost $365,000! The last two years have been very kind to the versatile camera clip that allows you to securely hook your DSLR just about anywhere on your person, but along with the success have come many suggestions for possible improvement.

So, like any good designer, Dering is taking another stab at it: attempting the same idea, only this time with "brilliant execution." The v2 is a redesigned, sleeker, better version of the first Capture system, with a bunch of new functionality built in.

If you're a longtime Instagram user that recently upgraded to Version 2, you might have noticed that the filters don't quite feel the same. Don't worry, it's not just you: each of the filters was indeed tweaked in the app's overhaul. Despite the new live view and faster response times, many users aren't too happy about the changes that were done to their beloved filters. Owen Billcliffe over at My Glass Eye did a side-by-side comparison between old and new filters to show the differences.
