Here's a really neat little customization trick that Adobe are allowing you to do if you're using Lightroom 5 or newer. You know that splash screen that pops up when you first open up LR, the one with all the developers' names on it? You can now replace that image with one of your own in just a couple of quick steps!

The tutorial was created by Craig McCormick of Destructive Pixels for our good friends at F Stop Lounge, and the process couldn't be any simpler.

When it comes to street photography, much of the aesthetic appeal is the limited editing that usually takes place (or doesn’t take place, I guess), leaving the story and subject the focus of the image instead of creative editing. But that's not to say that editing should be left out of the equation or completely disregarded.

According to Lifehacker, Adobe is currently sending out emails to notify users that they are resetting everybody's Creative Cloud 30-day free trial. If you've not given the newest versions of the software a chance and you're not one of the people who is dead set against it, now is a great time to see if what you're missing is worth jumping into the subscription model.

Don't lie, you saw this one coming. Adobe has already beaten the proverbial horse bloody when it comes to their Photoshop Photography Program being extended again and again and again... and again.

And yet, here they are doing it again, this time once more allowing anybody in the US (regardless of whether or not you own a previous license or not) to get the special bundle for only $10/month on an annual basis.

A couple of weeks ago, we told you that Adobe was extending its special $10/month Photoshop Photography Program (better known around these parts as the 'Photography Bundle') to everybody, even if they didn't own a previous copy of Photoshop.

That deal was supposed to end on December 2nd but, thanks to widespread positive response from photographers, they've decided to extend the deadline to December 8th!

When Adobe officially announced its special Creative Cloud plan/bundle for photographers, there was a catch: you had to own Photoshop CS3 or above in order to qualify for the special $10/month pricing. Well, no more. For a limited time, Adobe is lifting that restriction and making the special bundle available for everyone.

About a month ago, Leica Camera AG made an announcement that's bound to make prospective buyers happy, while possibly justifying the price tag of a Leica camera a tiny bit. The company has decided to begin including Adobe Lightroom 5 with every Leica S, M, X, V and D-Lux camera from here on out.

Back in April, Adobe released a Lightroom 5 public beta, a preview version meant to iron out bugs. Today, Adobe brought the program out of beta testing and has officially launched it in its final form for both Windows and Mac systems.

From the very first version of Lightroom in 2006, Adobe has been releasing public betas prior to shipping to make sure that the final product has all of the kinks worked out, and this year is no exception. Earlier today, Adobe released the public beta of its upcoming Lightroom 5, complete with video and photo examples of a few exciting new features.
