A long list of Sony's consumer products is getting a 14% price hike starting on February 1, the company announced today. That includes the Alpha series of cameras and interchangeable lenses.
Cosina has announced three new 35mm /2 lenses under the Voigtlander brand, two for the Leica M-mount and one for Sony E-mount cameras: the Voigtlander Ultron Vintage Line 35mm F2 Aspherical Type II VM and two versions of the Voigtlander Apo-Lanthar 35mm F2 Aspherical VM.
Viltrox has added the 33mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.4 APS-C prime lenses for Sony E-Mount to its online store. The 56mm f/1.4 looks very similar to the Fujifilm X-Mount version that became available in September.
Photographer and YouTuber Jay P Morgan from The Slanted Lens has published this 6.5-minute video review of the Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-Mount. In summary, Morgan says that it "did all the things I really needed it to."
Tamron plans to keep expanding its lineup of excellent full-frame Sony E-Mount lenses. In a teaser released earlier this morning, the company showed off what looks to be a versatile zoom lens that will (rough translation) "delicately depict any scenery."
After weeks of speculation and leaks, Sony has seen fit to officially announce both its Alpha 3000 DSLR-style E-Mount camera as well as the rumored NEX-5T and three new E-Mount lenses.
