A programmer who goes by the name Turtius has managed to install and run a Minecraft server on a Canon SL2 (also known as the EOS200D) DSLR camera. Turtius was working on reverse-engineering Canon's network processor when he decided to try and see if it could be done.
In addition to the 6D Mark II, Canon has just also announced the new Rebel SL2 (AKA the 200D). The camera replaces the SL1, which was the world's smallest and lightest DSLR when it was announced back in March 2013.
Just days after the Canon 6D Mark II was leaked to the world early, the Canon Rebel SL2 has now been outed as well.
Just when we thought we were done with all the teasers, it looks like Canon is picking up where Nikon left off. To be fair, the teaser released by Canon Korea today is an ad, not a video. And chances are there won't be another ad every other day until the camera comes out... but who knows.
Either way, we have another camera to anticipate, and Canon is teasing this one with the words, "Canon will start from the white world."
