Fujifilm has updated its lens roadmap to include three new lenses -- a large-diameter mid-telephoto prime lens, a standard macro lens, and an ultra-wide-angle prime lens -- bringing brings the company's total count of produced and planned optics to 42.
The Lydith 30mm f/3.5 lens was introduced in 1964, and grew a cult following due to its excellent sharpness, contrast and color fidelity. Meyer-Optik now plans to create a modernised version, and the Kickstarter project has already tripled its goal.
This is a big week for new top-tier gear at DxOMark. First, they crowned the Canon 1D X Mark II the best Canon sensor they've ever tested, and now the affordable Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary has been named DxO's top-ranking Sony E-Mount prime.
A rumor making its rounds today is that a photograph of an upcoming Samsung NX 20mm f/2 pancake lens was leaked. The photo (shown above) looks pretty legit, and does not seem to be obviously fake or "photoshopped".
Well, in the thread on PentaxForums where the image was posted yesterday, someone pointed out that the "leaked photo" looks suspiciously like the Samsung 30mm.
