The FX5 Release Is Probably Slipping into November in the US, Too

While Sony announced publicly that it would finally start shipping FX5 cameras starting at the end of October, Adorama did not update its website to reflect this, keeping it as an estimated arrival date of October 15. That is, until yesterday when it suddenly was updated to show the end of the month. With how dealers in Europe are not expecting it until at least the middle of November now, it is becoming increasingly likely that the camera won’t be arriving in October in the U.S. either. Sony has chosen to remain completely silent on why the camera has been so significantly delayed, but it might have to do with an LCD issue.
