The Xiaomi 13 Pro is the real deal; it proves its worth as one of the top camera phones of 2023, competing against the best on the market now and almost certainly what’s to come over the course of the year.

Xiaomi finally has a flagship that pairs its legacy of delivering powerful performance with a high-end build, plus brilliant Leica cameras for good measure.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is the first phone to bring Sony's 1-inch IMX989 camera sensor to global markets. As such, it is the smartphone to beat if you want natural-looking shallow depth-of-field photos and videos.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is an expensive phone, but it’s really one of the first from the brand that I can wholeheartedly recommend to buy, with only a few small advisories. The camera is the standout feature.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has it all: a gorgeous design with a ceramic finish, sublime AMOLED screen, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, all-day battery life with ultra-fast 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and IP68 dust and water resistance.

We think that Xiaomi has done a very good job improving the camera and night shots in particular are among the best we've seen on a phone. Other fundamentals like battery life and performance are also well covered, and the zippy charging is an extremely neat feature to have.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is one of the easiest recommendations we've ever given despite its horrible grip experience (beauty has its price, obviously, but please, buy yourself a premium case).

[T]he Xiaomi 13 Pro is a good upgrade in almost every aspect. The E6 AMOLED display is brilliant, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 offers a good performance and doesn’t get heated, the 50MP triple cameras with the new IMX989 main sensor and 3.2X telephoto are brilliant.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a strong flagship with a dated aesthetic that gets in the way. If the company had just channeled the Xiaomi 13, this would be a very different review.

After a week with the Xiaomi 13 Pro I'm totally sold. Its camera system is so adept that it's arguably the best you'll find in any Android phone right now.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is another excellent flagship phone from the brand. With a more focused design and a proper software overhaul, it would be in contention for the big awards come the end of 2023.

In isolation, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is an absolute gem of a phone. It’s supremely powerful, has an absolutely gorgeous display, and takes incredible, bokeh-filled photos in almost all conditions.

The 13 Pro gets such a lot right, including stellar Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance and top-tier cameras. But Xiaomi’s MIUI software is still the main reason not to recommend it.

It's quite a surprise that the 13 Pro works even more like a camera phone than the 12S Ultra. Except for the mediocre wide angle lens, I pretty enjoyed shooting photos and videos with 13 Pro.

At first, I thought that Xiaomi 13 Pro stands out for its movable lenses and that it’s worth paying any money for such a fancy feature (and I know that many people like close-up photos).

It is easily the most improved flagship of 2023, and the best thing is that it is priced quite aggressively in India, so I genuinely think it's worth paying extra for this phone over the likes of the OnePlus 11 and the iQOO 11.

Now the build quality is fantastic overall, really good, and just like the screen here, so it's an LTPO AMOLED display, 120 hertz, Dolby Vision support, HDR 10 plus, and in the normal high brightness mode it's 1200 nits, but it can peak for short periods of 1900.

If it's gotta be Android, and cannot be Samsung, and has to be cutting-edge, near-best tech, this is it. But that feels like a niche.

[T]he Xiaomi 13 is not cheap as it is priced at around 1,000 Euros in the EU, but it is a solid all-around relatively compact Android flagship despite a few shortcomings.

[...] Xiaomi 13 Pro is most premium device available at the $899 price tag. It’s a very good device in terms of performance, Xiaomi has achieved great success in camera side, screen and design are really nice and high quality, other features complement a real flagship device.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro for me is a really good device. I love the camera capabilities, but do keep in mind when it comes to the Xiaomi 13 Pro and of course also the Ultra, I feel like these kinds of phones are not meant for your quick shot.

At 229g (just 5g short of the Galaxy S23 Ultra) and 8.4mm thick, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a bulky phone, and there’s no hiding that. Still, with that in mind, I found the Xiaomi 13 Pro to have good weight distribution.
