Reviewer Consensus

Good

The Vivo V29 is a slim, stylish midrange smartphone that excels at portrait photography and selfie capture thanks to its adjustable Aura Light. While it offers a premium-feeling design and a vibrant 120Hz display, the device utilizes an aging processor and lacks stereo speakers, making it a niche choice in a competitive market.

The V29 is a fine phone but I’m not entirely clear where it fits in, or what it’s truly replacing. It's too similar to its most recent predecessor, so for roughly $500, you can find alternatives that bring more to the camera array.

The vivo V29 feels more like an iterative upgrade over the V27 in the Philippines with upgrades to the Aura Light, charging speeds, and display resolution. While we welcome a 512GB option, we felt that vivo’s decision to use the Snapdragon 778G is a slight downgrade.
