After shooting 10,000+ images, I can’t recommend this lens for pure photographers. While the specs are a dream, the reality feels like walking through a doorway holding a ladder.

It’s a very capable camera, but I really do recommend just going with the Canon R3 instead.
This camera offers impressive performance and flexibility, making it a strong contender in the market.
I know everyone is very excited about the Sony a9iii’s global shutter etc, but for me the Nikon Zf is an absolute home run.
It’s a big deal for Nikon to finally have AF performance on par with the best bodies from other brands like Sony and Canon, but I’d recommend the Zf instead.
What this means is that you can tell the camera “make this image cooler where you’d normally balance it warm.” or any other adjustment to temp or tint.
I’ve owned the camera for exactly one month, which is not long enough to truly understand the nuances of most camera bodies.
The D5 is a winner for me. It’s not a perfect camera by any means, but the reality is the vast majority of images I work on day to day require reliable auto focus and clean ISO at crazy high levels and on those two metrics – the D5 is the best on the market.
To conclude… I’m pissed at Leica. After the new car smell wore off I realized a piece of my soul was being surgically removed from my body with every photo I’d take with the Leica Q.
So here is where I tell you what decision I recommend when considering the purchase of this camera.
If you’re currently a D3s owner I suggest you never hold the D4 in your hands unless you’re ready to fork over $6,000.
