Mediocre
Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS is a lightweight and affordable standard zoom that provides a functional entry point for full-frame mirrorless users. Although it offers reliable center sharpness and effective image stabilization, the lens struggles with soft corners, significant distortion, and a modest variable aperture.

It's probably not coming as a huge surprise but the Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS just doesn't cut it.
-
The compact size, light weight, great general-purpose focal length range, and low price are strong advantages of the Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens.
-
[T]he Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS performs very much like a typical kit lens.
-
The Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS is a very competent, if unspectacular, standard zoom lens for the Sony A7R/A7 full-frame compact system cameras.
-
A good budget option, this lens is compact, lightweight and relatively affordable for an own-brand Sony standard zoom.
-
The Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS is the first zoom lens available for Sony's full-frame mirrorless system, but it shows heavy distortion and isn't that sharp at the edges.
-
[I]t does not have that killer color and clarity and sharpness like the Zeiss lenses, but for the money [...] it's really good for that money.
-
It is a decent kit lens with quite good sharpness, especially in the center of the frame. The build quality is also very cheap, as you'd expect, and the autofocus, which is also generally accurate, is easy to get started with if you can't afford a lot of pictures with lenses.
-
If you're trying to decide whether to buy this camera as a body only or as the kit, I recommend picking up this lens just because it takes such a good quality photo.
-
This Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS does pack a decent punch for a kit lens, and it definitely is a good option when you're starting out in photography or you're just wanting a cheap overall zoom lens.

I highly can recommend the kit lens, despite how odd that sounds coming especially for me, someone who is not a fan of kit lenses.
-
Okay, conclusion is, considering all aspects of this lens, it can be in your option if you want to start to shoot immediately, get this kit lens set.
-
So I guess the final word is this lens is a decent kit lens for the a6000. It's still going to suck on the full-frame cameras, but overall it's not that bad, and for the price, this is probably going to be the cheapest zoom that you can get that will do what you want it to do.
