Bride Mad Because Her Photographer Died and Hadn’t Sent Her the Wedding Photos

A split-screen image shows a bride and groom holding a colorful floral bouquet on the left and a woman speaking in a car on the right with the text "MY 13TH REASON.

A bride took to TikTok to complain that her wedding photographer had died before sending her the wedding photos.

In a since-deleted video, the bride from Minnesota said: “[I] flipped open Facebook, first thing I see is ‘server at Park Tavern and mother of three killed on the patio during her shift’.”

“And I s*** you not,” she continues. “I looked at my husband and I said, ‘I swear to God. I swear to God if this is her.’ I’m like, this will be my 13th reason. Oh, my God. I’m Googling. I’m getting into it. I’m looking at all these things. It was her.”

As well as being a photographer, Kristina Folkerts was a waitress at Park Tavern, a well-known restaurant and bowling alley in Minnesota. In September 2023, Folkerts was the victim of a drunk driver who crashed through the patio of the restaurant. Another person, Gabe Harvey, also died, and 12 others were injured.

Steven Frane Bailey was sentenced to 30 years in prison in July 2025. Bailey, who had five previous DWIs, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree murder and three counts of criminal vehicular operation. Victim impact statements were read out in court.

‘Monster’

The woman who complained that she didn’t jget her photos has been branded the ultimate “bridezilla.” Another TikToker — who says that the bride was sent her wedding photos by the grieving husband — labeled her a “monster.”

“I am so sorry that a woman’s death has inconvenienced you,” says Brittni Pristin on TikTok. “What a tragedy. That you won’t get your edited photos. Because the woman of the husband, who died, by the way, she died, did send her the RAW photos of her wedding. And another photographer reached out and did the wedding photos for her for free. And she was like, ‘Yeah, I just didn’t like the tone of the edits.’ Monster!”

While the bride, who has apparently deleted all of her socials, has been getting plenty of flak, some people defended her.

One X user (formerly Twitter) called Denike Danjuma says, “Devil’s advocate here. She charged $4K, she promised to send sneak peek during their honeymoon, which was just few days after the wedding, which she didn’t. She went incommunicado until 8 weeks after with excuses with no pictures still. Condolences to the family but she’s allowed to ask for her pictures.”
