What a Dog Saw During His Day as an Adorable Wedding Videographer

People pay big money for wedding photographers and videographers, and with good reason. There’s no substitute for a talented, experienced team on a couple’s big day. However, strapping a GoPro to a dog can be a fun addition to the imaging team, as a talented pooch in the United Kingdom demonstrated this month.

Ellie and Georgie Woods were married earlier this month, and the wedding was shot by Fly on the Wall Wedding Photography and Sasha Lee Photography. Joining the two shooters was the Woods’ dog, Bobby.

“When Ellie brought Georgie home for the first time, the family member she was most anxious for Georgie to meet was Bobby,” The Dodo writes.

The meeting went well, and so did the relationship. Once the couple got engaged and began the arduous task of wedding planning, they decided they would want to include Bobby in the festivities. Before the ceremony started, they equipped Bobby with a GoPro action camera.

Bobby seemed comfortable with his new camera. “He loves being the center of attention,” Georgie Woods told The Dodo. “He just loved it.”

The couple explained that having Bobby at the wedding was meaningful and important to them, and now they have footage of their special day from Bobby’s point of view.

Bobby’s wedding adventures, or misadventures, in some cases, include stealing food and walking in on Georgie’s sister in the bathroom. But Bobby also captured some moments that a typical wedding photographer wouldn’t, including the dog’s view of the couple walking down the aisle.

“It captured some really special moments,” Ellie says of Bobby’s GoPro. “We couldn’t be happier for how it came out because it’s just so organic and such an interesting, different perspective.”

Sasha Lee, who acted as the second shooter for Fly on the Wall Wedding Photo, described Bobby as an “ace videographer, snack tester, toilet inspector, and staff supervisor” in a recent Instagram post.

“I love how he documented his own crimes,” Instagram user Grace Ribble comments. “So good.”

Years from now, it’s a safe bet that Bobby’s POV video will be among Ellie and Georgie Woods’ favorite keepsakes from their wedding.
