A wedding photographer has been praised on TikTok for stopping a guest from taking photos on their phone during the ceremony.

In a viral TikTok video posted earlier this month, Australian photographer MP Visuals shared footage of the moment he politely asked a wedding guest to stop taking pictures on their phone.

@mpvisuals__ If you ask me i was nice about it… Inner me wanted to grab her phone and launch it out thr venue 😂 #wedding #weddingceremony #wedding #weddingcontent #weddingphotographer #weddinginspo #ceremony #weddingtiktok #weddings ♬ original sound – MP Visuals

According to the wedding photographer, the bride had asked him to not hesitate to confront guests who got their phones out during the ceremony.

“POV: The bride said to you if you see anyone with their phones, let them have it,” MP Visuals captions the clip.

In the TikTok video, the wedding photographer is seen shooting the ceremony as the bride is about to walk down the aisle.

The photographer then spots a wedding guest slowly creeping into the aisle. She starts scrolling on her smartphone and seemingly begins to take her own photos of the ceremony on the device.

The photographer then politely tells the guest to stop using her phone.

“Sorry, can you? No phone sorry,” the photographer says to the guest, who is going against the bride’s wishes.

“Can you, no phone sorry.”

The photographer then asks her to stop standing in the aisle and return to their allocated seat at the wedding ceremony.

“Can you stand in here?” the photographer says to the wedding guest as he gestures to her seat.

“Because you’re in the aisle. You gotta [move.]”

The surprised guest is heard saying “Oh” as she puts her smartphone away. The wedding photographer then continues shooting the big day for the couple.

‘I Want You as My Photographer’

The TikTok video racked up 3.9 million views and over 239,000 likes — with viewers praising the wedding photographer for taking action against the guest.

Many viewers said they now also intended to ask their wedding photographer to stop guests from using their phones during the ceremony.

“I want you as my photographer,” a TikTok user writes.

“As much as we all pay for our amazing photographers, I would want this energy at my wedding,” another viewer comments.

“Please send that phone out of the venue.”
