If you often find yourself dreaming of photography while eating pastries, or (more likely) visa versa, then this is the camera for you. In all seriousness though, here’s a fun little novelty product that made its way across our desk, which combines a 3MP camera and a fattening favorite, the doughnut.
No worries, neither cameras nor doughnuts were harmed in the making of this product, it’s simply a fun novelty that allows you to take Instagram-like filtered shots, using the doughnut hole to line them up.
The camera itself features microSD and USB ports, and is given its sweet-looking exterior by a soft coating of PVC plastic. Once you’ve lined up your shot, it’ll snap square crops with either classic, red, blue, green or monochrome filters applied.
Here are a few sample shots:
But that’s not all, the Doughnut Camera can shoot video as well. Here’s a short clip that was filmed using the doughnut, with each of the color modes demoed at the very end:
It is, obviously, a novelty that’s worth a few good laughs at your next get together and that’s about it. But if you’re interested, you can snag the Geanee Doughnut Camera over on Premium Gear for the sweet price of 6,300 Yen (or about $68).
