Here’s the First True Color Photo of Earth Snapped by Japan’s New Himawari 8 Weather Satellite

The Japan Meteorological Agency launched its latest weather satellite called the Himawari 8 this past October. A few days ago the agency released the first true color photo (shown above) captured with their new “eye in the sky.” Want a closer look?
