Photographs Showing How Concertgoers Emulate the Artists They Love

For three years, Italy-based photographer James Mollison visited music concerts and photographed the rabid fans outside. The resulting photographs became an interesting project titled, The Disciples, which shows how people emulate the singers and bands they love to form their identity.

Can you guess the music artists that the people in these photographs are fans of?

Here are the answers from first to last: Rod Stewart, Oasis, Missy Elliot, Iron Maiden, Dolly Parton, and 50 Cent.

Such a fashion faux pas. I’ll never wear a t-shirt with the band’s name of the concert I’m attending or try to dress like the band or artists; LAAAME.

Anyone find it interesting that there’s only one black guy from the fiddy cent section.

The Rod Stewart lineup is ace. Especially the guy in the middle, even though he is the least Rod Stewart-ish of the bunch.

Not too surprising if you consider that the photographer is based in Italy.

I wouldn’t have recognized the Iron Maiden ones if they didn’t have the band’s name in their t-shirts.
