The Leica M11 series now consists of three cameras. We have the original M11 which I very much enjoyed using on the streets of New York. Then, the M11 Monochrom was released and became an instant classic. I loved taking black-and-white images with it all over Montana. Now we have the release of the M11-P which apart from some minor cosmetic changes is largely the same as the original M11. So, why then should we get excited about such a similar camera?

Leica is giving its SL2-S the "Reporter" treatment, outfitting the camera with a more resilient exterior to make it better able to resist extreme temperatures, shocks, dust, and water.

Leica has announced the SL2-S, a 24.6-megapixel L-Mount full-frame mirrorless camera that puts more emphasis on speed and video performance than the original SL2. Capable of 25 frames per second shooting and ISO up to 100,000, the SL2-S also boasts considerable video prowess.

It seems the race to launch a 100-megapixel full-frame sensor is on. Sony has reportedly developed a new 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor that shoots 100-megapixel photos and 6K videos, and it's designed for consumer cameras.
