- PetaPixel 8.5/10
The Thypoch Simera lenses are sharp, clean, and contrasty. If you are tired of the many character-rich, trendy lenses on the market, the Thypoch is perfect for you.

I actually consider this being the most versatile fast 50mm M-mount lens, especially thanks to its unrivalled minimum focus distance coupled with the floating elements design. This is the do-it-all 50mm M-mount lens for me.
-
For those that are looking for the highest quality optical performance, but don’t have the budget for higher end gear, well, a lens like the Thypoch 50mm 1.4 Simera might be something of a no-brainer!
-
I think the Thypoch Simera 50mm f/1.4 for Leica M-mount offers great value for money, being a fast 50mm lens which is sharp enough wide open, gives you that nice bokeh with a bit of swirl, which I really appreciate.
-
I'm pleasantly surprised with it, and I think for people that maybe can't afford a Leica Summilux right now and you're looking for a very good 50mm f/1.4 as a third-party option, I think Thypoch has done a great job with this.

If you are in the market for a fast prime lens in the Leica system, you don't mind not having a Leica lens, or if maybe there are focal lengths that you really, really like that you really want to buy a Summilux for, like I get that.
