The Fold 8 isn't Samsung's most ultra phone, but I do think it's their most practical one. And eight generations in, I think it's incredibly hard to argue how much of a better phone this is for most people than the Folds have ever been before.

I still think the Fold 7 is a really great choice, and I don't think there's a whole lot of compromises here this year that actually take away from the benefits that Samsung's brought to the Fold 7.
[I]n its current state, at its MSRP of $2,400 Canadian, I think that you could do better with your money.
[I]'ve actually been really enjoying the S25 Ultra this time around.
I don't think that you're going to have any severe buyer remorse if any at all that was a weird way to put it. I don't think that you'll hate your purchase if you pick up the 9a.
This phone is a nearly no-compromise flagship phone that lately has been putting a lot of others to shame.
Realistically this is a fantastic phone. Performance feels like flagship, it's built like a flagship and as far as actually using it goes the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a flagship device.
As far as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra goes, I've thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with this device and even in its current form I think that it's a pretty hefty contender even against the newly released iPhone 16 Pro.
I really wish that this was just solid right out of the gate because this has almost been the perfect phone, but it's not, and at the moment the battery just isn't really that good.
I know that's cliche, but sincerely, when I say that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been hands down the best smartphone experience for me personally, I'm not kidding around.
[T]he S23 Ultra has not disappointed and it's here to stay.
I just can't find anything about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 to hate, and if I'm being honest, I wasn't really expecting to like it as much as I did.
It's honestly amazing and if you were thinking about picking one up I think it's genuinely a no-brainer.
