Reviewer Consensus
Strong
The Leica Leitz Phone 2 combines high-end hardware with a distinct, photographer-centric interface and authentic Leica color rendering. While it offers a premium, camera-like experience, the device carries a significant price premium over equivalent hardware and remains difficult to acquire in many markets.

- PetaPixel 7/10
The Leitz Phone 2 takes quality shots from only one lens, and its digital zoom turned out far better than I thought it would at 2x. Its granular control is comparable to the manual modes, whereas the other brands actually let you do more in the more automatic ones.

[T]he Leitzphone is a superb phone, and there’s lots to recommend it.
-
Blending that brand with outstanding hardware, thoughtful features, and beautiful design has created one of the few co-branded products that I think actually deserves to exist.
-
Strip away the Leica design and, yes, this is still the Xiaomi 17 Ultra I already rated so highly. But Leica has done enough here to change the feel of the device.
-
If money is no object and you want your phone to feel as close to a camera as possible, however, then look no further.
-
Leica’s Leitzphone makes sense for someone who already likes the Leica look and wants a phone that feels different from the usual flagship models.
-
[I]'ve not seen, and that's my own personal humble opinion, such good footage coming from a smartphone.

[Y]ou would use a phone like this with a 1-in sensor, and I think you're going to get really good results.
