Not everyone will enjoy the quirkiness and “character” of this lens, but you can’t beat the price, and it is undeniably a fun, unusual lens.

I would classify this as a specialized macro lens at a low price for anyone wanting to get some unusual ultra wide close-up images.

The Laowa 15mm f/4.5 0.5x Macro is brilliant for getting shots of tiny objects, set against a sweeping background to put them in context. That’s thanks to the combination of its 0.5x macro magnification and short 15mm focal length.

So I think overall this lens has character being modern, structured and very, very good technically.
