WhiteWall’s New Changeable Frame Is a Flexible Way to Show Your Photos
German photo lab WhiteWall, which recently announced new Coffee Table Photography Books, has added another new product to its lineup: the Changeable Magnetic Frame.
Nothing beats a high-quality photographic print; a good frame is a big part of the overall display. However, sometimes people change their minds about what looks best with their home décor or swap out photos depending on the time of year or occasion.
“The [Changeable Magnetic Frame] sets new standards in the simple and flexible presentation of pictures and opens a completely new world of removable frames,” WhiteWall promises. “The system is rounded off by simple frame configuration and a custom-fit reorder function for new Fine Art Prints and photo prints using a personalized code, making ordering easier than ever.”
The frame system uses a “clever magnetic locking system” to allow customers to quickly change the frame or the framed image without any tools. When displaying WhiteWall Fine Art Print products, images are guaranteed to fit perfectly without slipping or manual fixing.
The Changeable Magnetic Frame is made of aluminum and comes in three colors: silver, black, and white. Alongside the frames, WhiteWall offers a passe-partout, a matte, that is made of acid-free, light-resistant, gallery-quality museum cardboard or a linen surface. The bevel-cut passe-partout comes in 10 colors, three of which have a linen structure. Each has a white or black core, which shows through at the cut edge, with the color options depending on the passe-partout selection.
Photographers have a dozen fine art papers and five photo papers to choose from for their photographic prints, including options from Hahnemühle, Canson, Epson, Fujifilm, and Ilford, all significant players in the photo printing space.
Rounding out the options are four different glass options. There’s glossy float gloss, matte float glass, glossy acrylic glass, and anti-reflective museum glass (made by Groglass).
The available display format sizes, as measured by the size of the frame, start at 21 x 21 centimeters (8.3 x 8.3 inches) and range up to 140 x 120 centimeters (55.1 x 47.2 inches).
Prices start at $99.95, and when ordering, customers receive a unique code that allows them to easily order additional prints that fit the precise frame they bought without any fuss. Complete purchasing details and the print creation tool are available on WhiteWall’s website.
