Full-Res Sample Photos from the Canon EOS R5, R6, and All the New Lenses
Pixel peepers rejoice! After Canon made its big announcements two weeks ago, an enterprising user on the Fred Miranda forums managed to dig into Canon Japan’s website and find full-resolution samples from the EOS R5, EOS R6, and several of the lenses that Canon unveiled.
It’s unclear whether or not you could navigate to the pages where these photos are stored normally—we assume so—but Fred Miranda user JohanEickmeyer found them by editing the standard Canon Japan sample photo URL directly. That’s how he found full-res samples from the EOS R5, the EOS R6, the RF 600mm f/11, the RF 800mm f/11, and the RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1.
There are already full-production EOS R6 cameras out in the wild, but all of the current sample photos online from the R5 are (to the best of our knowledge) from pre-production models. Plus, we’ve not seen samples from the 600mm, 800mm, or 100-500mm lenses in the wild just yet. Scroll down to see all of the sample photos for yourself (click to enlarge).
