Fuji Trolls DSLR Users with Clever ‘Evolution of the Photographer’ Illustration

Fuji, like everyone else, is getting ready for a gear-packed week at Photokina, but they’re doing it with a little bit of tongue-in-cheek flare. Posted yesterday at the very top of their Photokina 2014 teaser page, the company decided to troll DSLR users a bit with a clever ‘Evolution of the Photographer’ graphic.

The graphic is based on the iconic “March of Progress” image — one of the most famous and recognizable scientific illustrations ever produced — that compresses 25 million years of human evolution into a series of 15 figures.

Fuji’s version shows a photographer weighed down by their gear, slowly “evolving” into the carefree photographer with just a mirrorless camera around his neck.
