High Fashion Photos Depict Models as the Five Major Internet Browsers

What if girls were Internet browsers? That’s the question that fashion photographer Viktorija Pashuta had been dying to answer for a long time before she finally got her chance in Fashion Affair Magazine.

The resulting photographs try to capture the essence of each of the five major Internet browsers — Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari — in a high-fashion sort of way.

Pashuta had been itching to do this series for a while, but as she explains it, the series was a lot easier to dream up than actually do. “It required a lot of pre production and preparation,” writes Pashuta, “since every Internet browser had to have very specific elements, colors, features.”

Additionally, Pashuta wanted to do more than simply dress the models up in the right colors. “I have tried to reflect the style of each Internet browsers through the means of clothes, shoes, accessories, props and poses itself,” she says.

And at least one of her Facebook friends thinks she’s achieved that goal, commenting that “Internet Explorer is all flashy, Firefox is sexy, Opera is elegant, Chrome is utilitarian and Safari is trendy/hip.”

Pashuta is very satisfied with how the What if Girls Were Internet Browsers series turned out in the end, calling the process from sketch to shoot “quite a journey.”
